Job: L/SL in Journalism, Canterbury Christ Church (14th Feb)


Lecturer/Senior Lecturer in Journalism (two posts)

£29,853 to £43,040 per annum

This is an exciting opportunity for two experienced journalists to play a key role in the delivery and evolution of an innovative journalism programme, now in its third year.

You will teach journalism practice and theory, primarily on BA Multimedia Journalism. You will also engage in research, knowledge transfer and professional practice activities, together with administrative and pastoral duties as required.  The Department of Media is thriving and well-resourced with an excellent quality rating and a strong reputation for integrating practice and theory.

You will have a minimum of five years experience as a professional journalist across a variety of media platforms. You will hold a good honours degree and a higher degree, ideally a PhD, in a relevant subject. An ability to motivate and enthuse students and work closely within a team is essential. Experience of teaching journalism and developing research in an HE context would be an advantage.
